Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office Makes Arrest Connected To Missing Hiker

The Sequoyah County Sheriff made an arrest in the case of missing hiker, Matthew Fagan.

In June, Fagan was reported missing near Lake Tenkiller by his friends during a hike.

Tuesday, deputies arrested Fagan's friend, Tyler Leverett. KFSM is reporting he faces a charge of accessory after the fact of murder.

Investigators said they have a motive but don't want to release it at this time.

The sheriff said a second person of interest is being held at the Muskogee County Detention Center on an unrelated charge.

So far, Fagan's body has not been recovered.
