Tulsa Police arrested parents after a 4-year-old girl was found wandering near 27th and Memorial. Police said when they tracked the little girl to a nearby hotel room, they found drugs in reach of her sleeping brother and the parents gone.
Officers said the child was able to lead police to the nearby Georgetown Motel where she and her family were staying. She told them her parents had gone to the store, and her brother was the only one in the room, according to an arrest report.
Officers said the little girl led them on foot from the Ramada past three other hotels with heavy traffic nearby. When they reached the Georgetown, the child told them that's where she lived and that she missed her mother.
Authorities found the door wide open and the girl's 9-year-old brother asleep in the room with the door wide open.
"Inside the room officers noticed marijuana within reach of the children," records show.
Logun Harrison, the children's father, "finally showed up to the room," police said. The father told officers he and his wife went to get clothes for the children but had two flat tires on the way back.
Officers went to the car and discovered the children's mother, Kristin Nicole Brummund-Harrison, naked under a blanket. They also found a baggie with methamphetamine residue, officers said.
The Harrisons were arrested for child neglect, possession of marijuana in possession of a minor, possession of marijuana and outstanding warrants.
The Department of Human Services is finding a place for the children, records show.
