Amarillo Police report the shooting suspect at an Amarillo Walmart has been shot and killed by police. Hostages inside are safe, APD reports.

The Randall County Sheriff's Office said they are considering it a workplace dispute, according to the local CBS affiliate, KFDA - News Channel 10.

Officials say the suspect was located inside the store and shot shortly after tactical units entered the building. Police have yet to confirm the identity of the man.

Walmart released the following statement:

"As soon as we heard about the situation at our store in Amarillo, Texas, we acted immediately. All customers and our two associates who were held hostage are safe. This was a very difficult situation, and we are thankful for the quick response from law enforcement."

Multiple agencies responded to the scene as it unfolded at the Walmart located at 4215 Canyon Drive Tuesday.
