Tulsa city pools are opening for the summer, and families are already in the water at Reed Park pool.
People were at the pool celebrating opening day with a beach bash. But if you missed it, there is a lot more ahead this summer.
By Monday, four of Tulsa’s pools will be open to the public.
Admission to Lacy and Reed pools is $1 per person. Admission is free for the Berry and Whiteside pools.
Throughout the summer, the pools will all be hosting 'Summer Safety Days,' a new initiative to teach people what not to do when it comes to water safety. The safety days are going to include boating safety, CPR demos and lifejacket demos.
Good news this year is that all of the pools are fully staffed with lifeguards and workers with the exception of one full-time position at Lacy Pool.
If you’re interested in applying you can head to Tulsaparks.org for more info.
