Johnston County authorities have charged three men, including one from Sperry with stealing over $100,000 worth of cattle from a Tishomingo area rancher.

Cody Porter, 30, along with Robert Rulo, 43, and Jesse Hurd, 29, of Stillwater are in jail on multiple complaints of larceny of domestic animals.

A Johnston County ranch owner told authorities she left Rulo in charge of her cattle in Connersville for two weeks back in March.  Deputies say during that time Rulo stole 69 head of cattle, selling most of them across the state.

The Johnston County Sheriff's Office and the state Department of Agriculture were able to recover 29 head of cattle.  After an investigation, deputies arrested all three this week in Johnston County.

Back in July 2015, Cody Porter was arrested in Osage County for cattle theft.
