Muskogee police say they have arrested an alleged burglar they have nicknamed the "Brisket Bandit.”
Ricky Milligan, 38, burglarized a restaurant's smoke shack early Wednesday morning and got away with slabs of meat, at least one pork butt and nearly $900 in stolen property, according to police.
“He was arrested about 2:45 a.m. after officers were alerted that he could possibly be in the Smoke Shack again, pirating more smoked meat from inside,” MPD officer Lincoln Anderson said.
Milligan was taken into custody without incident, Anderson said.
According to investigators, they also recovered a STIHL chainsaw that reportedly was taken in an April 16 burglary.
Milligan is being held for complaints of second-degree burglary, possessing stolen property, and he was wanted on several local warrants.
