Authorities say a Georgia man charged in a 2015 pornography sting and who disappeared Sunday has been found in Oklahoma City.

Cody Magee, 38, was reported missing after his wife said he took off in a 12-foot kayak with no supplies along the Georgia coast.   The U.S. Coast Guard which conducted a 2,500 square mile search, found his empty kayak Tuesday.

During a traffic stop in Oklahoma City late Tuesday, Magee was taken into custody.

Magee was indicted after a Georgia sting operation last June on charges of computer pornography, criminal attempt to commit child molestation and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Savannah Police believe Magee staged his disappearance in order to avoid a court appearance on Monday.

Oklahoma City Police say Cody Magee was taken to a hospital.  Savannah Police said in a news release Magee was "considered a danger to himself."

Georgia authorities are now working to get Magee extradited back to Savannah.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
