A three-vehicle collision in Seminole County has taken the life of a 16-year-old driver.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the collision occurred shortly after 9 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 377 about four miles south of Seminole.

Troopers say a northbound pickup truck crossed the center line and struck the victim's southbound car in the left rear. The car lost control and spun into the path of another northbound vehicle.

The 16-year-old victim was pinned in the wreckage for about three hours. His name was not released.

Troopers say the roadway was wet with rainfall when the collision occurred. The victim was wearing a seatbelt.
