The City of Tulsa doesn’t have a shortage of downtown festivals.
We've got Mayfest, the Blue Dome Festival, Hop Jam, Jazz Festival and Rock N Ribs – just to name a few.
Next month, the East Village will be added to that list with an afternoon aimed at highlighting just how much that growing part of downtown Tulsa has to offer.
“There is a little bit of everything along Third Street in Downtown Tulsa,” Joanna Blackstock said.
And business owners want to get the word out, especially with hundreds of people set to move here in the next few years.
"Its just a great area,” Patrick Johnson said. “It’s the last little area of Tulsa that’s getting developed.”
Johnson opened his first restaurant -Bohemian Pizza - in December 2014.
“Word is getting out,” he said about the area.
To keep that trend going, the neighborhood is organizing the East Village Street Festival for April 17.
And it isn’t just going to be art vendors and live music. At Third and Lansing, it will be full of local food trucks.
“Our neighbors are all great,” Johnson said. “We're are a little family here.”
Blacstock added that “This is our little corner that is just a fun spot, and there are a lot of people who don’t realize just how neat this little area is.”
The East Village Street Festival begins at noon on Sunday, April 17.
