Some of the nation's top dogs are in town this weekend.
The American Kennel Club's National Agility Championships started Friday and run through Sunday.
The competition brings together over 1,200 dogs to compete for the gold.
“I would not miss it for the world,” said competitor Denise Kilpatrick. “I got started in agility because I had a dog that was really smart and I wanted to find things that I could do with him to be both active and train him.”
Saturday begins the race for National Champion.
The dogs will follow cues from their handlers through a timed course of obstacles that include jumps, tunnels and weave poles.
It’s going on at Expo Square. Parking and admission is free.
