Tulsa Zoo: Water Service Restored After Contractor Cuts Pipe

The Tulsa Zoo says the water is back on, after problems shut down service two days in a row.

A contractor cut a line outside the zoo Tuesday. A second water outage Wednesday morning related to the first cut shut the water off again.

The zoo said on it website it was still open, despite the lack of water.  

Officials say they used their emergency plan and have provided water for the animals. The zoo also set up portable bathroom facilities for both staff and guests.

Food service for guests was limited to vending machines or pre-packaged foods at the Tulsa Zoo Grille.
