East Tulsa Home Burns; Man Taken To Hospital

Firefighters pulled a man from a house fire at East 21st Place and 74th East Avenue on Sunday night.

When crews arrived, they saw smoke coming out of a front window. Officials said they were told a person was inside. They said they had to wait for police to arrive before they could enter the house, but they didn't say why.

Crews were able to knock out the fire quickly. The man who was pulled from the home was seen strapped to a gurney as he was taken to an ambulance.

Firefighters say the damage was limited to the front part of the home, but the whole interior sustained heavy smoke damage.
