The Oklahoma Highway Patrol arrested a Tulsa couple for driving under the influence, and the OHP says one of the suspects bit a trooper.
Troopers stopped a 2012 Chevy Cruze that was westbound on 41st Street at Sheridan because they said it was being driven erratically. Troopers said they saw the driver and passenger exchange seats as they approached the car.
In their report, troopers stated they smelled an odor of alcohol coming from the driver and passenger.
The said the driver was Armando Clark, 27, who told troopers he had "a few shots and a couple of beers" prior to the traffic stop.
After troopers arrested Clark, they said the passenger, 24-year-old Natasha Befanoff, drove off and parked in a nearby store lot. Troopers followed her and as they placed her under arrest, she Befanoff bit the trooper on the right arm, according to the OHP report.
Troopers booked both into the Tulsa County jail on DUI complaints. Befanoff faces additional complaints of aggravated assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.
Jail records show both have a court appearance set for March 4.
