Wildfires Keeping Washington County Firefighters Busy

Fire departments near Vera and Dewey have been busy Thursday battling several wildfires near both Washington County communities.

Washington County Emergency Management says both fires are under control, but they continue to remind everyone to be extra careful because of gusty south winds.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Fire Warning for almost all of northeast and eastern Oklahoma until 7 p.m.
