Multi-Vehicle Wreck Causes Backup On NW Corner Of IDL In Tulsa

Crews responded to a six-vehicle crash on eastbound Highway 412 coming into Tulsa from the Sand Springs area. The wreck is on the northwest corner of the IDL.

Three or four of the vehicles have damage, but we don't believe there are any serious injuries. A pickup had considerable damage to its front end in what appeared to be a chain-reaction wreck.

Police arrived on scene to investigate and clear the crash. Two cars were off the road and several others came to rest on the edge of the highway.

The crash caused a big slow down in rush hour traffic. Drivers exited onto the Gilcrease Expressway in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
