Tulsa Police released video from a pursuit February 11 that ended in an arrest in a QuikTrip parking lot. The video shows officers deploying pepper balls as they take a Tulsa man into custody.
The incident started when officers said someone called in a suspicious vehicle in the 2300 block of South 104th East Avenue just before 9 p.m., Police investigated, and the driver took off after recognizing the police car, according to arrest documents.
Derrick Ross, 42, led police along surface streets to the 1100 block of South Mingo drive. Police had stop sticks down at that location, and Ross got four flat tires after driving over them.

Records show he continued slowly to the QuikTrip parking lot at 10310 East 11th Street. Police say he refused to come out of his car.
You can hear them repeatedly shouting for him to exit his vehicle.
Video released Tuesday shows officers using pepper spray, breaking a car window. News On 6 was at the scene and had video of the end of the chase showing additional pepper balls hit Ross.
Ross was booked on possession of marijuana after a felony conviction, driving under the influence of drugs, eluding, and driving without a license or insurance.
