Mayes County Residents Asked To Conserve Water Due To Pump Repairs

The Rural Water District is asking Mayes County residents to conserve water while they repair pumps.

Chairman of the Board, Marc Hudson, said the entire system is down while they try to replace broken pumps.

Hudson said they are working on repairs but had no timeframe for how long it would last.

He said, right now, their tanks are about half full and are asking residents to conserve water as best they can.

The Rural Water District serves an area on the east side of Lake Hudson, including Spavinaw, Locust Grove and Rose.
