Several people are displaced after an overnight apartment fire near 51st and Yale. Tulsa Fire Department says the fire started around midnight in the attic of an upstairs unit of the Braden Creek Apartments.

The fire spread across to a second unit, and it's believed up to 12 people and eight apartments were affected in all.

No injuries have been reported.

When firefighters got there, they were able to quickly knock down the flames.

"These fires are kind of tough because it was in an attic," said Captain Bryan Runyon, TFD.

"It was a running fire through the attic to the other side, so we had crews working in another apartment in conjunction, but they did a fantastic job and quickly got the fire under control."

Red Cross is helping apartment residents were displaced. Fire investigators ruled the fire as accidental.
