OSBI Looks Into Coweta Motel Shooting Death

Coweta police have asked for assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation after a fatal shooting in the Wagoner County community on Friday evening.

Police Chief Michael Bell said at 9:30 p.m. officers were called to a shooting at the Best Western motel on Highway 51 in Coweta.

When they arrived, they said they found a man dead. Bell said a woman was inside the room with the body.

Police say that woman has been questioned, but no arrests have been made at this time.
