Valentine’s Day weekend is upon us and it is going to be a cool one.

Saturday is a good day to head out and get a gift for your special someone. But remember to take your sunglasses because there will be plenty of sunshine. Temperatures will stay cool today.

Highs only reaching into the upper 40s for the Tulsa metro, warmer south in the 50s.

Saturday night, cloud cover and winds will increase with an approaching surface low pressure system. Drizzle and showers could develop as early as midnight but expect them to linger through the morning hours.

As we get into the afternoon on Sunday, Valentine’s Day, showers will shift southward.  By late evening, most shower activity south of I-40.

Conditions warm up and t will feel like spring by the end of the week. Fire concerns are back and especially high on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
