The University of Tulsa is known for its academic excellence and 44 members of the football team helped prove that by finishing with a 3.0 or higher this past fall.
Balancing a busy football schedule along with a busy class schedule is far from easy but many members of the team managed to make it work while achieving academic success.
TU ranks number 86 in the 2016 national edition of Best Colleges by U.S. News.

Tulsa is a private institution that was founded in 1894.
The college is 209 acres with tuition fees averaging out to $36,962 (2015-16).
The campus is located near downtown Tulsa, giving students easy accessibility to museums, performing arts centers and more.
The Golden Hurricane athletic teams are DI members of the American Athletic Conference.
The school’s engineering program made the list at No. 111 and is taught in a $16 million facility. Regardless of major, students are allowed to get involved with research projects as soon as freshman year.
TU has graduated alumni that went on to be very successful. Some of the notables include former NBA player Steve Harris, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Lovie Smith and NFL Hall of Famer Steve Largent.
T.V. talk show host Dr. Phil also attended TU before transferring to Midwestern State University.
