One of Oklahoma's Own made his network television debut Monday night. Musician John Moreland performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Rolling Stone just ranked his newest album, High On Tulsa Heat, number 13 on their list of the Top 40 Country Albums of 2015.

Moreland has lived in Tulsa since he moved here with his family at age 10. He said he started fronting local punk and hardcore bands in high school, then ditched that music for his father's - Creedence Clearwater Revival, Neil Young, Tom Petty and Steve Earle.
