Light wintry precipitation is possible after 11 p.m. Tuesday in northeast Oklahoma. Temperatures will dip to near freezing, and light sleet and snow may mix with passing showers into the early morning hours of Wednesday.

No accumulation is expected due to temperatures that will likely stay at or above the freezing mark.

The precipitation will also become increasingly light as it moves into drier air over Green Country, limiting the amount that will actually reach the ground.

Should a heavier burst of sleet or snow occur overnight, a few bridges and elevated surfaces could become slick for a short time. However, ground temperatures remain above freezing and air temperatures won't support much wintry precipitation sticking around beyond sunrise Wednesday.

Wet roadways are possible for the Wednesday morning commute.

Temperatures will gradually warm through the 30s back into the 40s during the day Wednesday with drizzle or a few showers possible.  Heavier and more widespread rain is likely Wednesday night into Thursday morning when all temperatures will be well above freezing.
