We’re continuing to see damage caused by this weekend’s recording-setting rainfall.
At Fort Gibson Lake, Jackson Bay Marina was one of the many hit hard by floodwaters and dealing with substantial damage.
At Whitehorn Cove, Cathy Burgin surveyed the damage from a boat floating 20 feet above a parking lot; the water is that high.
Repairs are just beginning at Whitehorn, where owner Mark Pfiefer said he can hardly believe the damage - including a 38-foot boat that sunk.
Just downstream, at Sequoyah Bay State Park, the damage is even worse. At Cypress Cove Marina, the docks broke free and spun around.
The strong wind combined with water 28 feet above normal left lots of damage and plenty of work.
We also checked over at Tulakogee campground, another popular spot, and while they have high water, they only had minor wind damage.
