Skiatook Woman Hospitalized After Vehicle Collides With Tree

A Skiatook woman is in fair condition after her vehicle collided with a tree in Osage County on Saturday afternoon, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says.

A collision report says Delores Fern Barnes, 60, was eastbound in the rain on Highway 20 about 2 miles west of Skiatook when she departed the roadway to the right, hit a guardrail and collided with a tree.

The investigating trooper says the cause of the collision was unsafe speed and that Barnes condition was apparently normal at the time of the crash.

Barnes was wearing a seat belt, the report says.
