Employee Injured During Tulsa Family Dollar Store Robbery, Police Say

Tulsa Police are investigating after they say a store employee was assaulted during a robbery at Family Dollar store in the 6600 block of South Peoria Wednesday morning.

Police said they got the call at about 7:25 a.m.  Officers said a store employee was leaving the store with a bank deposit bag when she was hit on the head from behind.  Police said she could not give them a good description of the robber.    

EMSA paramedics treated the employee at the scene but did not take her to the hospital.

Police are looking to see if surveillance video got pictures of the thief.
