Sheriff's deputies say one man is dead and another person is in a Tulsa hospital after a shooting and standoff at a Tulsa home Monday evening.
The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office says at about 7:30 p.m. deputies responded reports of a shooting at a home in the 2600 block of 61st Street North near Lewis.
Upon arrival, TCSO said deputies found a victim who had been shot. EMSA took the victim to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies said the suspect was still in the home and refused to leave. The Tulsa Police Department's Special Operations Team was called out and surrounded the home.
Just after 10 p.m., deputies said the SOT entered the home and found the unidentified suspect dead from what appeared to be self-inflicted gunshot wound.
A neighbor told News On 6 he heard an argument then saw a couple of people run from the house and jump a fence prior to deputies arrival at the home.
Deputies are still investigating the circumstances which led up the initial shooting.
