One person was taken to the hospital after a car stalled out in the middle of the Broken Arrow Expressway early Saturday. Police say the driver of a small Ford Focus was eastbound on the BA near Mingo when his vehicle broke down in the center lane around 2 a.m.
The driver got out of the car which police said had no working tail lights.
Two other eastbound vehicles - a small car and a pickup - ran into the stalled car. Police say that driver of the car that rear-ended the Ford was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. No one else was hurt,
Police told News On 6 if your car starts to break down on the highway, try to get it to the shoulder. If you can't - get out of your car and call for help.
No citations were written at the scene, according to police. The highway was shut down for about an hour until wreckers could haul all three vehicles away.
