A former Okmulgee caretaker is now facing abuse charges.
Wednesday, Attorney General Scott Pruitt announced 27-year-old Whitney Symone Brown is being charged with abuse by a caretaker.
According to a news release, Brown worked as a care aide for developmentally disabled residents/patients at Okmulgee Terrace.
The release says, employees heard a resident screaming and a staff member said they found Brown pushing the resident out of a shower room and onto the floor, causing the person to hit her head.
It’s also alleged Brown kicked the resident while she was on the ground.
If convicted, Brown could face up to 10 years in prison and fines up to $10,000.
