Runners and walkers took to the downtown streets to raise awareness this holiday season. The annual Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis kicked off at the BOK Center Saturday morning.

Participants dressed in their best holiday-themed costumes, and many tied jingle bells to their shoes  - all to raise money to find a cure for arthritis.

"As a kid with JRA and everything, it's supporting all of the other kids who have it and can't do it," said Caity Urie, a participant in the Jingle Bell event.

People of all ages and some four-legged companions participated in the race. Even old Saint Nick made an appearance. The Jingle Bell Run/Walk was able to raise a little more than $50,000.
