Tulsa police are looking for three people who robbed a midtown Tulsa bank Thursday afternoon.
They said it happened just after 1:00 p.m. at the IBC Bank at 5302 East Skelly Drive near Promenade Mall.
Police are said it was a rare “takeover” style, where the robbers came in with guns, yelled at everyone to get on the ground then took the money and left.
They said at least one customer and several employees were inside at the time.
Officers said two men and one woman came in showing their guns - the woman actually hopped over the counter to take the cash.
The bank has been closed since, and we're told it will stay closed for the rest of the day.
Police said this type of robbery does not happen often in our area; more often, the robbers slip the tellers a note, telling them they have a gun.
Sergeant Brandon Watkins said, "Takeover style robberies, we just don't see them very often. They're very violent and very difficult for the people who are victimized on that side."
Police said the two men were dressed in all black. The woman is described as short and heavyset.
If you have any information, you’re asked to call Tulsa Police immediately.
