The old and the new are coming together in downtown Tulsa, as two growing businesses open corporate and global headquarters one block apart.
Hogan Assessments and the Ross Group are homegrown Tulsa companies experiencing extreme growth.
Both companies said, with everything happening downtown, they wanted to see the progress every day from their office windows.
The Ross Group rehabbed an old building that sat empty for 20 years, while Hogan Assessments built new, but most of the space pays homage to Tulsa in some way.
The walls of the Bistro Room at Hogan Assessments showcase work from a world renowned artist, and those are some of the only walls you’ll find in the 35,000 square foot space, and what walls you do have are glass.

"What you need to do your job one day to the next is always changing. You might need some head down time, some collaborative space or lunch with folks from other departments," said Arron Tracy with Hogan Assessments.
One of the main conference rooms directly overlooks downtown, and this week, Hogan Assessments’ clients from Korea got the front row seat.
Then, Tracy said, there's the breathtaking rooftop space.
"And there she is,” she said. “A great spot for a photo for visitors coming in from around the world to take a piece of Tulsa back to their homes.”
From the roof of the Hogan building, you're just a stone's throw from the Ross Group’s new corporate headquarters in the old International Harvester Building.
The company brought it back to life and preserved its originality, with the old showroom now the main entrance to the building, and each conference room named after a Tulsa district or city landmark.
They also have an open concept work space, even where the company president works.
“They have a collaborative effort with a team, so you never feel alone or swallowed by your own work,” said Matt Newman with Ross Group.
And, with the Ross Group’s involvement in so many construction projects downtown, they wanted Tulsa's growth visible from every window.
“We’ve made a commitment to the growth of downtown, and what better way to do that than to be part of it,” Newman said. “This project is a trophy piece, what we can show off, what any building has the potential to become.”
Each company has around 75 employees, but they are in spaces that are built for growth.
Downtown Tulsa is becoming one of those communities catered toward your professionals, and the hope is that will keep Tulsans from leaving and entice others to come here.
