The hearts of many Oklahoma leaders are also with the French Saturday morning.

Governor Fallin tweeted: "My thoughts and prayers are with the people of France during this time of terror in #Paris."

Oklahoma Senator James Lankford is on the Senate Homeland Security Committee. He said in a statement, "While we do not yet know who is responsible, this attack has all the hallmarks of Islamic extremist terrorism.

"We must all stand up to the evil of terror. Those who threaten freedom - in America and abroad - must be defeated."

U.S. Senator James Inhofe said his prayers are with the city of Paris and also said the act is a call to action for the United States to better fund its military:

"Radical Islamist groups have not only killed a large number of Westerners and attempted to wreck our sense of security, but they also have senselessly murdered tens of thousands of Middle Easterners and displaced hundreds of thousands more in recent years. We cannot just degrade or contain extreme terrorist organizations like ISIS. It’s time the United States and the international community stands unified to defeat them.”

U.S. Congressman Tom Cole said“I am deeply grieved by the senseless acts of terror against the French people. Americans are unfortunately all too familiar with the unbelievable shock, horror and permanent scars caused by terrorism. During this dark time for our French allies, our most sincere thoughts, prayers and support remains with them today, tomorrow and in the difficult days ahead.”

Here in Tulsa there is also a group with the National French Alliance meeting at Mod's cafe this morning from 10 a.m. to noon. The group typically meets a couple times a month. This Saturday, they  will obviously be focusing on Friday's attacks - for those who would want to join.
