Rogers County Drug Raids Lead To 17 Arrests

The Rogers County "Thug" Task Force arrested 17 people on drug complaints Tuesday.

Rogers County Sheriff's Deputies conducted early morning raids in Operation Medusa with help from the Claremore Police Department, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the Cherokee Marshall's Office, and investigators with the Rogers County District Attorney's Office.

The task force served a total of seven search warrants.

Along with narcotics and precursor ingredients for the manufacturing of methamphetamine, members of the task force said they also confiscated heroin, marijuana, methamphetamine, prescription drugs and a variety of drug paraphernalia. They also confiscated cash and seized two vehicles they said were used to distribute illegal narcotics.

They also identified five children as "drug endangered children" according to state law.

The team said two suspects were already in jail when the raids happened. All 19 will face charges of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Paraphernalia, Child Neglect, Fugitive from Justice, Receiving Proceeds from Drug Activity and Conspiracy to Traffic Narcotics.
