The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the westbound lanes of Interstate-44 just before 193rd East Avenue in Catoosa have been reopened after a semi crash early Friday.
Troopers said diesel fuel and antifreeze from the truck spilled onto the highway after a crash at about 1 a.m. They reopened the westbound lanes just after 7 a.m.
The OHP believes the driver either fell asleep or was inattentive causing his truck to run over a traffic sign and ram a concrete construction barrier at 193rd East Avenue. They say the truck rolled onto its side, splitting open the semi's trailer and dumping its load of lumber.
The OHP says westbound traffic on I-44 was diverted to Highway 66 into Catoosa and then south on 193rd East Avenue and back onto I-44 at the Hard Rock Casino.
The OHP says the driver who wasn't injured was given a ticket for inattentive driving.
