Police in Sapulpa and Tulsa believe a 19-year-old and a juvenile apprehended in Sapulpa are connected to the theft of beer from three convenience stores late Saturday and early Sunday.
Officers say just before midnight a subject entered the QuikTrip at 3050 South Sheridan and took some beer from a cooler and left the store without paying.
Police said when the clerk followed him outside, the clerk said the subject pulled a gun from the car and pointed it at the clerk. 19-year-old Abel Morales got into a 2006 Chevy Malibu left the store.
Police said just before 2 a.m. the same subject walked into a QuikTrip at 4950 South Harvard took some beer from a cooler and left the store.
And just before 3 a.m. Sapulpa Police arrested Abel Morales and a juvenile after the theft of beer from the QuikTrip at 1040 East Taft. Police recognized the pair from descriptions broadcast by Tulsa Police from the thefts on Sheridan and Harvard.
Morales was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of robbery with a firearm, pointing a deadly weapon with intent and larceny. Jail records show he is being held with over $70,000 bond with a court appearance set for October 26.
