Many people are reporting feeling the early morning earthquake that centered in Grant County Saturday morning. The United States Geological Survey measures the preliminary magnitude at 4.4.

The earthquake struck at approximately 4:20 a.m. Its epicenter was located 11 miles near Medford, 21 miles north of Enid, and 45 miles west of Ponca City.

It was almost four miles deep.

Then, at approximately 10:20 a.m., a 3.7 magnitude earthquake struck. Its epicenter was located in the same area, being 13 miles southwest of Medford, 19 miles north of Enid, and 46 miles west of Ponca City.

It was about two and a half miles deep.

Several smaller earthquakes were recorded overnight with a 3.4 NW of Fairview at 9:57 p.m. Friday, a 3.4 west of Medford at 12:20 a.m., and a 3.1 northwest of Perry at 3:8 a.m.
