Saturday, TU will welcome a familiar face to Chapman Stadium when the Golden Hurricane faces the University of Louisiana-Monroe.

ULM Head Coach Todd Berry played quarterback at Tulsa from 1979-1981 and later began his coaching career at TU under John Cooper.

After his stint at Tulsa, Berry went on to coach at a variety of programs before landing at ULM including Oklahoma State (1985) where he worked with Thurman Thomas, who turned out to be an NFL standout.

Now, the coaching veteran is returning to green country with many who will be rooting for him.

"My family, my wife's family, my extended family, I think my whole high school football team is coming along, along with many people I played college football with and so there's going to be quite a few people in the stands and they better all be cheering for ULM,” he said.

Berry has been the Warhawks head coach since the 2010 season.
