Tulsa County Sheriff's Office Withdraws CALEA Accreditation

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office has withdrawn its application for national accreditation, for now.

The sheriff's office has been accredited through CALEA for 15 years, but is not applying now in order to address several areas of concern, including the eight recommendations made by the grand jury that involve better record keeping and making internal affairs more independent.

They say they'll re-apply when the improvements are in place.
