The state medical examiner's office has identified the body found in a shallow grave near Wynona last week as well-known oilman and cowboy Rick Holt, 46. Holt was reported missing Tuesday, September 8, 2015. He was a longtime Osage County resident.

The cause and manner of death are pending.

Two Pawhuska-area brothers - Jeremy Reece and Tyler Reece - have been arrested in connection to Holt's death. Investigators believe Holt was in a relationship with Jeremy Reece's ex-wife.

Court records state the Reece brothers drove out to Holt's ranch to confront him. Holt was last seen alive driving his pickup shortly after midnight leaving the Country Club in Pawhuska.

His pickup was located at his home.

An affidavit says Jeremy Reece admitted that he and Tyler Reece took Holt's body to an oil lease where they dug a grave and buried him. Using that information, authorities recovered the body that has now positively been identified as Holt.

The two brothers are being held without bond.
