Police say a 35-year-old man tried to sell crack cocaine to a pair of undercover Tulsa officers during a sting operation late Wednesday.

Officers said Alfonzo Vineyard approached the two female officers at about 9 p.m. at 11th and Garnett.  They said Vineyard, who had been released from prison a month ago, offered to sell the pair some crack cocaine and tried to hire them to be prostitutes by offering them food, drugs and housing.

Vineyard was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of delivering a controlled and dangerous substance and pandering.

Jail records show he is being held on a $30,000 bond with a court appearance set for September 16.
