Authorities Searching For Man Missing From Vinita Facility

Authorities are still searching Sunday for a man who walked off from a minimum security correctional facility in Vinita. News On 6 has learned Deontaye L. Frederick was not present for the 2 p.m. head count Saturday at the Northeast Oklahoma Correctional Center in Vinita.

Frederick was at the facility at noon, according to Heather Harris with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. The 24-year-old man was convicted of aggravated assault and battery, unauthorized use of a vehicle and several counts of second-degree burglary.
