The medical examiner confirmed Monday that Tulsa restaurant owner Jim Coulson died of a gunshot wound. The full autopsy report is still pending, but the ME's office said the 65-year-old man was shot in the chest.

An employee found Coulson's body inside Ted's Hamburgers early Friday, August 7, 2015.

The shooter is still on the run, but Sergeant Dave Walker said investigators are expanding the search for possible video to surrounding businesses and homes in the area of 2906 West Edison Street.

Police said Saturday that although early reports indicated Coulson had been stabbed, the investigation showed the cause of death was more likely by gunshot. That was confirmed Monday.

"By way of explanation the Medical Examiner has all control over a body once the body is declared dead," Walker said in a news release. "The body is not more closely examined until the ME investigator arrives."

Police said it is very early in the investigation, and investigators are still working on both motive and suspects. If you have any information that can help Tulsa Police, call 918-596-CRIME.

The restaurant is expected to re-open sometime on Tuesday.
