A bomb threat forced Tulsa Police to evacuate the Hyatt Regency Downtown hotel just before noon.

A spokesman for TPD said someone threatened to detonate a bomb at noon. There was no explosion.

Police told guests they would check each room before letting them back inside. They issued the all clear at about 2:20 p.m.

Andrea Schultz, a paralegal from Tennessee, told News On 6 via Twitter that she's in town with hundreds of other paralegals for a convention and they were moved out onto the sidewalk. She said many of them decided to get lunch while waiting for the all clear to come from police.

It's News On 6's policy to not report bomb threats but because the disruption affected so many people and was so visible we made an exception in this case.
