A 14-year-old from Adair doesn't have much time to celebrate his win at an international motocross competition in France last weekend.

Jesse Flock is already back in training for his next race, which will take him to Tennessee at the end of this month.

Flock competed in the 14- to 16-year-old age group at the MX Masterkids event in Verdun France over the weekend of July 11 and 12, 2015. He won his age group and his victory helped the U.S. team take home the overall trophy.

It's quite an accomplishment for a rider who was a late add to the team.

The U.S. team had picked its members early in the year. After some of the kids suffered injuries, the team sent out an alert for more riders at the end of May. Jesse had just turned 14 on May 24, just barely qualifying for the 14-16 age class.

Jesse's parents had to rush to get passports so the family could take Jesse to France in time for the race.

A dealer in Europe provided the bikes for the team but Jesse and his dad had to assemble his brand new 85 cc 2016 KTM out of the crate.

Jesse started riding motorcycles when he was three at TMX Motocross Track in Tulsa.

"He was born into it," said his mother, Tanya Flock. She said his grandfather was a cross country champion in California in 1968 and his dad and his older brother raced, too.

"When he was 18 months old he would stand at the fence and watch his brother, Austin, race and as soon as he would get back to the pit," Tanya said, "Jesse would climb on his bike and yell 'Daddy I jump high!'"

When he's in Adair, Jesse is home schooled. When he's on the road, which is about two weeks out of every month, Tanya said he Skypes with a tutor.

Visit Jesse's web site.

He trains at a track in Paradise, Texas. He's there so much, the family usually stays with him.

"Some people have a cabin at the lake, we have a cabin at a dirt bike track," Tanya laughed.

Jesse is back in Texas already, training for the LL National Championship July 27-August 1 in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. He doesn't seem to mind, according to Tanya.

"To this very day he can't go a day without riding something with two wheels."
