A juvenile male is in police custody after breaking into a north Tulsa business. It happened at 4:19 a.m. at the All Stop, 2533 East Independence.
Tulsa police say a neighbor called in to say someone was breaking into the store. When police got there, they saw a young male come out through the shattered front door and place a blue bag outside. The teen went back into the store.
Officers made entry and realized the suspect was inside the ceiling - so police had to follow.
Sergeant Brian Blair said it was a tense situation to have to follow someone into a space like that without knowing what you'll find. In this case, they found a 15-year-old male who asked for his mom and was taken to the juvenile center.
Officers found a lot of cigarettes in the bag left outside the store.
