Car Stranded In High Water at Tulsa Frequent Flooding Spot

A south Tulsa intersection near Jones Riverside Airport routinely floods during rainfall like the area experienced early Wednesday.  

At around 3 a.m. authorities said high water at 81st and Elwood left a car and its driver stranded.  

A passenger in the car told News On 6, the driver tried to back out of the high water but ended up stuck in a drainage ditch.  They said another vehicle came along and helped pull the car to dry land.
