Fiery Truck Wreck Blocks Eastbound I-44 In Miami

A wreck blocked the eastbound lanes of I-44 at Miami Thursday afternoon.

The eastbound lanes were blocked near mile marker 324 by a wreck involving two semis. One caught fire and caused some explosions, likely from propane tanks being carried by one of the trucks. 

Both drivers were transported to hospitals.

The OHP narrowed westbound traffic to one lane but got them both open later Thursday evening. Eastbound lanes were also opened later Thursday evening, but only one lane, making things slow going much of the night.
