Tulsa County Sheriff's Deputies chased a driver who is now in custody downtown. The pursuit started near North 46th Street and Lewis when police say Christopher Michael Manard failed to stop for a traffic light.

Photojournalist Brian Anderson captured video of deputies chasing Manard down eastbound Highway 11 near Apache. Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Tulsa Police also joined the chase when it went down Highway 75 and Interstate 244.

The chase got off the highways and into some neighborhoods in East Tulsa. It ended a few blocks later near 21st Street and 129th East Avenue.

Deputies say there was a passenger in the car and the passenger told them the driver wouldn't let him out.

The passenger was questioned and released.

Manard was booked into Tulsa County Jail for kidnapping, eluding, reckless driving, driving with a revoked license, and traffic complaints.

He was arrested in 2015 for drug possession and other offenses, and he has a history of convictions for crimes including possession of drugs, possession of a stolen vehicle and pointing a deadly weapon.

His bond was set at $66,200.
