Tulsa Man Hospitalized In Possible Gang-Related Shooting

A man was taken to a Tulsa hospital after being shot in the back late Saturday night near College and Independence.

Police said the man, who is in his late 20s-early 30s, drove a few blocks away to take refuge with family after he had been shot.

His wounds are not believed to be life-threatening, but he is being treated at a hospital.

The shooter was in a large white sport utility vehicle, according to police. A passenger in the victim's car was unharmed.

TPD says it's possible the shooting was gang-related and the shooting was retaliation.
